The 2020 summer reading program starts Monday, June 22; the theme is “Imagine Your Story.” The program concludes Thursday, Aug. 6. All books must be checked out from the Lincoln Library or through the Sunflower eLibrary. There are several ways for children to win prizes.
May use books or minutes to keep track of your reading
Win a prize if you read 20 books or 10 hours
Win a T-shirt if you read 50 books or 25 hours
Win a prize if 50 books are read to you
Win a T-shirt if 100 books are read to you
Both Readers and Non-readers
Your first 10 books or 5 hours — receive an “Imagine Your Story” book bag.
Your first 20 books or 10 hours — face on the bulletin board.
For every 10 books or five hours — receive an entry blank for the prize of your choice.
Keep track of the number of books during the program for a chance to win an extra prize.
A chance to win prizes at games every week.
Entry blanks will be given out for random reasons throughout the six weeks.
Teens and adults are welcomed and encouraged to sign up and join us.
Sign-up will be Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26. It will take place outside, on the porch of the building just north of us (the Mason building), which we purchased last August.
The program runs from June 22 through August 6.
Summer Story Hours
Ages 5 and up: Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM (same program both times)
Ages 4 and under: Thursdays at 10:00 AM
For those old enough to independently craft, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM.
Children must sign up to participate! There is a 15 person limit.
Deadlines for Prizes and Awards
Those 5 and above will receive their prizes and awards Tuesday, Aug. 4, so they need to turn in their information by Aug. 3.
Ages 4 and below will receive their prizes and awards Thursday, Aug. 6, so they need to turn in their information by Aug. 5.
