Preschool Story Hour
Story Hour is every Tuesday morning at 10:00. We are doing the ABCs! We read books, do games and crafts, and finish the time with a treat to take home. It’s a relaxed time where we have fun and just enjoy our time together. We would like to welcome all preschoolers to come join us for a little social interaction and a good time!
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is an annual event that promotes reading to all Kansas children from birth through age five.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
All children under 5 receive a free book each month. You can drop by the library and pick up an enrollment form or you can go to imaginationlibrary.com and sign your child up online. The first book will take 8-10 weeks to arrive.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
This program challenges parents and caregivers to read 1000 books to their child before he or she enters kindergarten. For more information see 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
Summer Reading Program
The theme for the 2020 Summer Reading Program will be “Imagine Your Story”. We are planning some changes, including starting the first of July and going to the beginning of school in August. We’re also wondering about changing the program times from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Another area which needs a little fine tuning is the present system of keeping track of either the hours or the number of books read. Keep an eye on this page for details!
See the 2019 Summer Reading Program page for information about the 2019 program.
